Simple high paced passing and shooting drill
Set up as shown, the net not being defended is laid down on the ice with the top of the net facing center ice, player 1 is facing the goalie in ready position.
On coaches whistle player 2 passes between player 1's legs and bounces puck off net.
Player 1 picks up puck and moves out and around laying net on back hand, takes a back hand shot and then pivots to see player 2 to receive a one timer shot.
After making pass player 2 lays a puck against the net laying down and player 1 picks it up as if a loose puck, rounds the net and takes shot.
Player 2 then moves into starting position and coach blows whistle and drill starts again.
Notes: Shooters always go to their backhand side first so they can then pivot around for a one timer.
Can also be done with orange pucks and no goalie.
All players after taking last shot try to pick up a loose puck and bring it back to pile to keep things moving.
