Bandit passing

Diagrams

Description

Start with lines of 3 players. The number of lines is determined by how many players you have. Can do 5-7 lines of players (older) which helps in the chaos/decision making in progression stages.

Drill is not done on a whistle. Focus on being ready in line and aware of surroundings
Starting: X's take off and around center ice pass to O's. Allow to repeat until each player has one 5-6 passes.
Progression: X1 passes to O2's line. O2 to X1. X2 to O3. O3 back to X2. X3 to O1 and O1 to X3.
Then allow for players to choose the pass they want. Do not tell them. Players will be skating through the middle, chaos will ensue - allow it to happen.

Notes: Focus on the teaching points. Allow the players to create the confusion/chaos and let it happen.
