This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
Designed to develop scoring chances down low.
Set up as shown and start on whistle, player 1 closest to boards carries puck and after each player has curled the tires leaves a drop pass along the boards .
After dropping the puck player 1 takes off for the far tire as player 2 is picking up the puck and heading down the outside towards the goal line.
Player 1 has his eyes on the puck carrier at all times and should be ready for a pass as soon as they curl the second tire or anytime there after.
Player 2 if you get into position before player 1 has curled the tire be patient and do not just throw a pass for the sake of doing the drill. Pass to player 1's stick side so a good scoring attempt can be made.
Goalies track puck no matter who is carrying it because coach may tell player 2 to shoot from time to time just to keep goalies in the play.
Notes: The second the shoot is taken next 2 players in line get set up and first 2 players clear the area all as fast as possible
