Description

This is a basic 1 on 1 drill which can also be done with 2 on 1. On the whistle, the defence starts in the middle of the ice and skates backwards halfway around the centre circle. At the same time, the forward leaves the corner with a puck. The defence needs to control the gap and the forwards should skate with speed and try to gain zone entry and cut into a scoring position.

For the 2 on 1 version encourage passing and lane changing. Focus on zone entry options.
