Description
Drill to work on breakout and D coverage
Set up as shown, and start on whistle alternating sides
Forwards line up as shown with the closest to the boards is the front of the line.
On whistle F must skate along the boards until hitting the blue line ......DO NOT SKATE ON AN ANGLE !!!!
At the blue line F passes puck to D, then angles across the ice and down around far circle getting into breakout position.
D takes puck and pivots to go behind the net and make a breakout pass to waiting F.
F takes breakout pass and heads out around circle DO NOT CUT THE CIRCLE STAY OUTSIDE OF IT !!!!
D after making breakout pass goes around circle in opposite direction to confront F as they go to net trying for a shot.
D must do everything in their power to prevent any shot from being taken.
Opposite side starts once the F has received breakout pass and passes top of circle.
Notes: Goalie track all puck movements
