This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
This drill is designed to help the defence with speed, pivoting and gap control. On the whistle, the defence (who starts on the far faceoff dot) must skate and touch their stick to the boards before skating across the ice to pivot into a 1-on-1 position. At the same time the forwards leave with a puck, skate around the net and try to beat the defence to the far net for a shot on goal.
If the defence doesn't touch the boards, they are out of that round.
Notes: The other defence should remain in the middle of the ice within the faceoff circle.
