Stick Handle around body and "W" Toe Drags (Station)

Diagrams

Description

Stationary drill.

1. Kids stick handling as far around either side of their bodies (Forehand and Backhand) as possible. Feet are to stay stationary and square to the boards.

2. Practice toe drags to forehand side, to the middle then to the backhand side. ("W" Pattern)

Notes: Coaching tip:
- Toe drags are supposed to have continuous stick contact with the puck. Teach kids how to roll the stick around the puck without losing contact.
