Parachute Skills

Diagrams

Description

First five exercises involve pass to player backing away from line and return pass to line from that same player.

1. X1 receives pass, stops, takes three quick steps and passes back. VARIATION is to have X1 take puck on backhand, move it to forehand and accelerate.
2. X2 passes back to O2 off the backpedal. ENCOURAGES LOADING UP.
3. X3 performs escape turn (backhand then forehand side)
4. X4 moves laterally before returning pass (both to backhand and forehand--no backhand touches on forehand lateral)
5. Similar to X4, but incorporates net and a stop behind it. COACH CAN PRESSURE SO x5 WOULD MOVE IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
6. X6 angles to retrieve puck in corner.

Notes: Can add pass to coach in supporting position. Coach then passes to original line.
