Backward Lines

Diagrams

Description

Skaters line up along each line. They skate backwards along the line using a strong C Cut for one leg, while the other leg remains in line with the blue/red line they are following.

Once they reach the other side of the rink, switch directions backwards (crossing to the other side of the line) and repeat using a dedicated C Cut with the other leg.

Notes: Bad Habits to watch for include railroading (feet not coming together at the Return of the C Cut) and avoid hips wiggle too much which takes away control and power.
