PP breakout and zone entry

Diagrams

Description

D will set up behind net with other net protecting net front and communicating.

The Lw in this case will swing through first making sure to go to the corner and up the wall and cut in middle at Hash as illustrated. The center will follow approx 2-3 stick lengths behind and pick up puck and proceed wide up the wall. the D behind net will follow out same side as puck and D in front will curl to weak side once the center picks puck up. As illustrated with the dotted pass lines there are many options all dependent on the PK forecheck set up. Ideally you want to get the puck up the ice and controlled as quick as possible. Upon the zone entry the puck carrier is to get deep to the corner to establish the PP set up and must do so with support in case of immediate pressure.
