Regroup 1 vs 1 -- Quick up 1 vs 1

Diagrams     

Description

Drill runs from both sides.
1. First Whistle activates D1 and F1, and O1 and X1.
2. D1 backs away from line, receives pass from D2.
3. D1 sprints diagonally toward red boards, where F1 has anchored, and makes pass.
4. F1 drives outside lane for shot, collects puck and attacks D1, who has gapped up, 1 vs 1.
All above in Black
5. After 1 on 1, a second whistle initiates a pass from D2 to D1. (Blue)
6. D1 passes to X2, gaps up and plays 1 vs 1 vs F2.(Red)

Notes: Progression:
1. Add Third D to D, outlet and 1 0n 1 play with F3 supporting in midlane. (GREEN)
2. Vary the passes from D2 to D1 -- ie. spot behind goal line for wheel or counter, etc.
