Description

1 v 1 Teaching Points

- D should position themselves so that their outside shoulder lines up with the inside shoulder of the attacking player
- D's stick hand should be held close to their body to help with executing poke checks without losing balance. Imagine using a vacuum.
- Gap should be minimized - D should track play out of zone and match speed direction of attacking forward(s)
- When D comes out to pivot they should always pivot to the middle of the ice in order to not give up the middle of the ice.
