Attack Triangle Progression

Diagrams     

Description

Phase 1:

- On whistle, player 1 leaves without a puck, cuts across the neutral zone.

- Player receives pass in stride, drives wide and shoots.

- After making a pass, first player in other line does the same thing.

Phase 2:

- On whistle, player 1 leaves without a puck, cuts across the neutral zone.

- Second player in line becomes the second forward. Cuts inside first cone and then drives wide and to the net.

Phase 3:

- On whistle, player 1 and 2 do the same thing as in phase 2.

- Player who make the pass becomes the third forward. Cuts inside and then follows up the puck carrier for support.

- Within the attack triangle, work whatever options you want.
