Stations - Shooting/Passing/Puck Handling

Diagrams

Description

Shooting Drill: X lines up behind net. Skate around pylon, C sends pass. Player receives on either forehand or backhand. Switch sides after 5-7 minutes

Breakout Pass: D picks up puck behind the net, skates around corner and makes hard pass to X. X will start at blue line, stop on 1/2 boards, pivot and skate backwards a few strides while receiving pass. X will then skate with puck up to blue line.

Puck Handle Drill: Simply skate (hard) around pylons with puck and shoot on net.

Notes: On Breakout Pass, be sure to have forward (X) receive pass on either forehand or backhand. In the example above, a right-handed shooter would receive the pass on his/her backhand, pivot and skate forward to blue line.
