This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
Forwards lined up in opposite corners, at opposite ends of the ice with pucks. Defenseman at centre. Drill will be run from both directions. A defenseman will move to the out side of the face-off circle closest to blue line. Drill starts with a forward from each line leaving and passing to a coach. The forward will continue to skate up ice and receive a pass back from the coach. Once the forward has the puck back they will attack the net at the far end of the rink. The defensman who is up close to the blue line will start to skate around the outside of the face-off circle toward the boards and track the forward. The D should start moving the second the forward makes the pass. The defenseman will attempt to keep the forward to the outside and angle them off to the corner.
