Description
Coach dumps a puck in. Dman retrievs puck and starts a breakout. Wingers need to read dman and determin if they are pivoting and moving up with the play or static. Centre curls low and breakup up through middle.
Dman can pass to one of 3 fwds or carry puck (should he carry winger backfills in).
As a 5 man unit the move up the ice and then attempt to score on 2 dmen and goalie.
Coach will blow the whistle and 5 offensive players skate to their own end where a coach is waiting. They assume their proper defensive positions relative to the coach. Coach will move to a new location and the players will follow. Drill ends. Important that wingers are out high near point and weak side winger is in the high slot.
Offensive Dmen are now defensive and lines switch.
