Ice Time #2 Corner Battles

Description
1 on 1's. Coach eases puck behind the net (on quarter ice) or to the corner (on 1/2 ice). X and O battle for puck and attempt to score either via wraparounds or via spinning out front. LET KIDS TRY AND FINISH THE PLAY.
Possession changes: If the puck is stolen on a CLEAR takeaway, coach to instruct kids to skate the puck past the hashmarks before attempting to score. This will avoid tap-ins or rebounds.
Coach to use discretion as to where to put the puck to create the best and most fair battles.
Switch sides halfway through drill as each end will play very differently.
Notes: Keep players not up next well behind starting line so they don't get in the way.
