PK Defending Zone Entries - Hard Wrap Dump

Diagrams

Description

The key to defending the Hard Wrap Dump is to have our goalie come out and stop the puck. He will then play the puck back up the weak side to one of our players positioned on the half wall.

We are assuming that they will send 2 forwards to the opposite corner to retrieve the dump in, making that the strong side.

If the dump gets past our goalie our D will attempt to retrieve the puck and move it back up the weak side where we will attempt to clear.

If they retrieve the puck we simply go into our defensive zone set-up and defend.
