PK Defending Zone Entries - Cross Corner Dump

Diagrams

Description

The key to defending the Cross Corner Dump is to have our D1 come back hard and retrieve the puck . He will then play the puck back up the weak side to one of our players positioned on the half wall.

We are assuming that they will send 2 forwards to the opposite corner to retrieve the dump in, making that the strong side.

If they retrieve the puck we simply go into our defensive zone set-up and defend.

Notes: If D2 is patient and in the correct position the cross ice dump should be difficult.
