2 Man Horseshoe

Diagrams

Description

The drill starts with player 1 (o1, x1) from either end skating down the ice, cutting in deep across the offensive zone ready to receive the pass from the man in the corner.

Player 2 from the corner (o2, x2) makes the pass out to player 1 (x1, o1) coming through the slot and then skates towards the blue line to form a 2 man attack.

Player 1 (x1, o1) receives the pass and continues his arc (with the puck) round up the boards and looks to his left for player 2.

Both players then proceed to pass between themselves up the ice, taking a shot on net and then joining the back on the queue.

Notes: Not just your standard Horseshoe! This drill combines passing, skating and puck control to ensure a full intensity drill. Defence men can also be introduced as the next step for this drill.
