This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
This is meant to be a very high-energy drill. F1 should always be in motion, forcing D1 and D2 to move constantly as well to defend. Start the drill with F1 shoulder to shoulder and between D1 and D2. F2 will attempt 5 passes to F1, only when F1 is open. F1 should try to shoot one-timers, forehand and backhand. F1 needs to stay within the shaded box and MUST face the passer at all times. When F2 has made 5 passes, F1 should turn attention to F3 for 5 more attempted passes. Switch both D and F1 after 10 total attempts. Switch F2 and F3 when desired.
Notes: This drill is great to teach the players how to really compete when down low, in front of the net. Encourage clean body contact from the D and encourage the forwards to work extremely hard to get open - being in constant motion for their turn in the box.
