Half Ice - Fight For The Net

Diagrams

Description

Coach lofts puck softly to the corner. One forward goes to the puck while the other forward and defense race to the net to gain position. Passer waits with head up until they see a clearer passing lane. Net forward and defense use body and stick positions to fight for the lane. The defense should learn to be ready to lift the stick close to pass impact, and the forward should learn to get their body in front of the defense. The defense should also learn to get physical to clear out the danger in front of their "house".
