Half Ice Breakout - Instructional

Description
Have two units at one end of the ice and one unit at the other end of the ice. Half way through drill send one unit from the two unit end over to the other side of the ice.
1. Forwards and defence take positions as illustrated.
2. Coach shoots puck into corner,
3. Players execute breakout using skills from Quick Up Drill and 1D and 2 drills.
4. Finish off with Centre passing to winger that is crossing over the blue line.
Add two coaches to drill that pressure defencemen making first pass and pressuring centre to call for proper pass by winger along boards.
Execute controlled and uncontrolled breakout.
Change sides half way through.
Run drill on both sides of the ice.
