Double Interlocking Weave

Diagrams

Description

- Break the players up in to colours (white in one end, black in the other)
- start the drill with all 4 players leaving the respective lines at the same time.
- one corner goes around the pylons and the opposite corner goes around the discs (or place pylons on their side if you do not have discs - water bottles work as well).
- the player completes three tight-turns and then shoots on the net closest to the corner he started in.
- the next player in line leaves as soon as the player in front of him gets to the second pylon or disc.
- idea of drill is to keep head up as it is very congested.
- you can add many variations (reverse around pylon, bank pass of boards as you approach pylon, 2-on-0 (both players carry pucks but one leaves his at the redline).
- you can also make this a competition by having the coaches record the number of goals in each end - losing team suffers the consequences.
