6 Stations - puck skills and performance skating

Description

Station 1: simple tight-turn drill. Next player leaves when player in front gets to 2nd pylon.

Station 2: simple follow your pass drill. one player at each station. quick one-touch passes with the last player going down the middle for a breakaway.

Station 3: forward-to-forward transitions (with a puck) around the first set of pylons (blueline). Then lateral crossovers from blueline to redline. Then 350 degree spins around next set of pylons (redline).

Station 4: Each player places his stick on the ice. He then does exercises/drills around or over his stick (ie: lateral jumps using inside edge only while holding each jump for 2 seconds, two-foot jumps laterally, transition skating around the stick, tight-turn skill development by teaching inside edge thrust and deep knee bends, etc)

Station 5: Player leaves corner and completes quick stickhandling through pylons.

- Then quick lateral crossovers to the middle of the ice.

- he then passes to the player waiting in the corner.

- that player then passes to the player waiting in the high slot.

Station 6: bank pass from corner to player in the crease. He then makes a quick seam pass to player at blueline. He then takes his puck to the net for a shot (follow your pass drill)
