Diagrams

Description

STATION !
Objective: Work on Stick Handling and Puck Control

X1 skates with puck to 1st Attack Pylon, using forehand move to work puck in-between (lefty goes to his right through attack pylon).

X1 then skates through stick handling ladder moving puck quickly through each square. X1 then goes to 2nd Attack Pylon, this time using backhand move to go in-between attack pylon.

Once X1 goes through 2nd attack pylon he/she then pivot skating backwards with puck to last pylon. Pivot, skate forward and quick shot on net.

STATION 2
Objective: Progressive 1:1 to 2:1 Battle Drill. Focus on F2 to get in best passing lane for a shot on net.

Coach shoots puck behind net, F1 chases to his/her left while D1 chases to his/her right. Battle ensues. Coach sends F2 into play shortly thereafter for 2:1

STATION 3
Objective: Get players to understand art of deception while passing with movement and driving to net

O1 starts by skating up and making hard pass to O2 (Defense). O1 then goes to front of net while O2 skates laterally to middle for EITHER a shot on net or pass to O3 who times the move and goes to the net.

O3 needs to be patient and watch the play develop while he/she is going to the net.

Option: To progress the drill further, you can have O2 pass to O3 and O3 can take puck behind the net and make pass in front to either O1 or O2
