Offensive Zone -- 2-1-2 Rotation

Diagrams

Description

Building off of previous Drill (Offensive Zone 2-1-2). F1 chases D1 to opposite corner. F3 creates pressure by cutting off D1 in the corner. F2 shifts to top of slot and assumes F3's position.

LD and RD shift to opposite side. Important to keep Gap close to one another.

Notes: This is the rotation created in a 2-1-2 offensive zone system. Very important for F2 to understand that play is moving away from him/her and getting to top of slot is key for 2 reasons.

1) Ensure he/she is ready for pass in slot in the event F1 and/or F3 win the battle in the corner against D1.

2) In the event F1 and/or F3 lose battle against D1 and an odd-man rush transpires out of the offensive zone, F2 must be sure he/she is back supporting the Defense.
