Chicago 1-2-3 DUPLICATE

Diagrams     

Description

Forecheckers actions in blue, breakout in black.
1) coach dumps puck in and 5 on 0 breakout.
2) Forward with puck at redline passes to X1.
3) X1 gains redline and then dumps puck into a corner.
4) X1 starts forecheck. (first man in)
5) Breakout against X1 alone once puck is to redline F passes to X2.
6) X1 clears the zone and X2 gains the redline and dumps into a corner.
7) X1 forechecks as first man in X2 helps forecheck as second man in.
8) Breakout against X1 ans X2 when puck gets to center F passes to X3.
9) X1 and X2 clear the zone and X3 gains the red and dumps to a corner.
10) X1,2 and 3 forecheck as a forward unit.
11) Breakout against X1,2 and 3 and go up ice to setup 5 on 3 in opposing zone.

Notes: Teach team b/o and options.
Teach d communicate first.
Use your f/c system for X1,2 and 3 (both sides are learning).
Allow one shot on rush on 5 on 3 then setup and give them an amount of PP time.
