This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
This drill does 2 things
1) makes goalies track and move with the puck as well as controlling rebounds
2) gets shooter used to playing in tight close to the net
Set everyone one up as shown, it is important for the pace of this drill that the shooters NOT chase pucks and just wait for the coach to throw a new puck into the drill
After the coach starts the drill by passing a puck to one player there must be 3 passes before the first shot can be taken, you can make more then 3 but there must be a minimum of 3.
As long as the puck is still in play ( not frozen by goalie or rebounded out of the circle) the shooters can continue to shot without passing if they choose.
If the goalie freezes the puck or a rebound goes out of the circle the shooters must then again pass a minimum of 3 times before shooting.
The goalies must track and move to the proper angle to block shots with every pass.
Do this drill anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds then rotate new shooters in, give the goalies a 30 second rest before starting drill over with new shooters.
