Agility Skating

Description
This drill is all about footwork & skating.
Set everything up as shown. To start this drill on the coaches say the player in the front of the line slides his stick into to corner he is facing, he then sprints down to pick it up and sprint out to the 1st tire.
Note the next player cant go until the player in front of him has possession of his stick and clears corner, this creates proper timing of drill so players are not bunching up.
As the first skater gets to 1st tire he must pivot to skate backwards to and around 2nd tire. After coming off 2nd tire skater pivots again to forward skating and makes a tight hard turn around 3rd tire as well as around the net.
Still sprinting forward skater goes around last tire and around separating pads, as skater goes around pads he must pivot to make sure he is facing the center ice line the entire time around pads.
After coming off 1st pad skater sprints to center ice line and does a power stop and turns to hurdle over the 3 or 4 pads and sprints to boards where drill began. Skater checks boards and returns to line.
Notes: Do this 3 times one direction then switch everything so it can be done 3 time in the other direction.
