Description

This drill works on many aspects at the same time, high pace while skating is very important but that does not mean rush your passes, if the person your passing to is not there don't pass.

Line up as shown with X1 having his right foot touching the net, on coaches whistle X1 takes off and retrieves a puck from the corner and double backs to take a shot (can not shoot till you reach the crease on the ice or closer to the net).

X1 does a power stop (not a turn) and sprints to the second pile of pucks, X2 moves into position next to the net. When X1 gets to the pucks he makes a backhand pass all the way across the ice to X8, X1 then skates fast to take X8 position while X8 makes a strong forehand pass to X10.

X10 makes a pass back to X8 while X8 is on the move (meaning pass to where he is going not where he is) X8 receives the pass and skates through tires and takes a slap shot. After X10 makes his pass he sprints to get in the end of the player line, X8 takes X10's position and the drill continues with a flow.

Its very very very important the next player in line does not go until the player in front of him makes his back hand cross ice pass, this will prevent congestion and keep things flowing
