Headman Pairs

Diagrams

Description

Goal is to teach the kids pucks move faster than their feet, and avoid carries through neutral zone.

X's leave together. First X takes puck and hits O will a long hard pass. O then hits the other X coming around well before the turn. First X cuts hard to blueline for a headman pass, turning towards the passer if needed.

If there is a goalie in net, first X should shoot with second X following for a rebound. If no goalie, first X should drop pass to trailer and attempt a tip.

This is a continuous flow drill and should be done at high speeds.
