Defence Movement & Defensive End Passing Drill

Diagrams     

Description

1) LD1 starts by going and pivoting around pylon, skates backwards, pivots at dot in circle, skates forwards, picks up puck, skates behind net and makes good pass to RD1
2) LD1 proceeds to the front of the net and waits for RD1
3) RD1 skates backwards around circle with puck, pivots fwd at bottom of circle, makes HARD pass to LD1
4) LD1 & RD1 skate quickly up ice, OVER blueline and LD1 passes back to RD1
5) RD1 gets pass, pivots bkwds around cone and drill repeats in opposite direction

Notes: Great continuous drill for focus, skating with puck and making good passes in defensive end.

Option: Coach can force D1 & D2 when breaking out when players become comfortable with the drill
