Description

Drill meant to help players with their stick handling and their confidence going by someone near the boards.
Players line up at blue line and skate between the coach(es) and the boards. The coach should be just far enough so they can skate by. Then they will shoot on the net.

Progression: Alternate between standing on the boards and away from the boards. May want to move while they are skating so they have to move away from the coach (defender).

Notes: 3 options:
- Away from boards = player skates straight up boards.
- A bit off the boards = player bounces the puck off the boards and goes around the coach.
- Tight on the boards = player makes a move and cuts to centre.
