This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
Complicated high paced drill which requires full concentration by everyone on the ice.
Line up as shown and start on whistle one side only and alternate starting sides.
X1 starts at the blue line and skates down around the under side of the circle and when X1 reaches the hash marks on the inside of the circle he receives a pass from X2.
X2 then moves out to take the spot where X1 started while X1 must skate with the puck to the blue line and pass to D1, do not pass before the blue line as it will mess up the timing.
After X1 passes puck he continues around the tire and heads back towards the blue line, at the same time D1 passes to D2 and D2 passes to X2. After D1 makes his pass O1 starts the drill on the opposite side.
After D1 passes to D2 he takes off and sprints to the line on the far side of the ice where the D men are lined up. After D2 makes his pass to X2 he skates to the spot where D1 was, D3 skates to replace D2 and D4 replaces D3 and D5 replaces D4.
X1 continues to the net and receives a pass from X2 and takes a shot, if there is a rebound to be had take it and if not skate behind the net and get in the back of the line on the opposite side from where he started.
Drill continues , if you miss a pass just continue skating to the rear of your next line.
D only rotates after the D man standing where D1 starts the drill , they do not rotate after any other D men make a pass.
