Rabbit/Coyote - Boards to Boards

Diagrams

Description

Divide players into groups of 2. 2 groups will use same tire.

X has puck facing the boards. O is directly behind/facing X.

On whistle player X with puck protects the puck by moving and defending within the pylons laid out.

O who is trying to steal the puck using stick checks and good body position to knock X off the puck.

If O steals the puck, they take puck as fast as possible to other side of rink to touch (NO Shooting) the tire with the puck.

If X loses puck before 2nd whistle, they need chase the O (Rabbit) to get the puck back before the player touches the tire with the puck.

Coach blows second whistle, X can makes offensive moves to beat O and skate to other side to touch the tire (again so shooting) with the puck.

Players switch from being X & O.

Notes: KEY: Good puck protection. IF YOU LOSE THE PUCK, YOU WORK HARD TO GET IT BACK AS FAST AS POSSIBLE BY SKATING AND STICK CHECK SKILLS.

This can be done in open ice or within a circle as well.
