9 cone warm-up

Diagrams

Description

-Players line up in the four corners with pucks. Each side has a designated "Long" and "Short" corner.
-All four corners leave on the whistle. The long corners skate to the red line, the short corners go to the blue line.
-Players skate around the cones and then head towards the net for a shot on goal.

Notes: This drill is a good warm-up for the skaters as well as the goalies, who receive shots from two different angles. Try to emphasize that the players keep their feet moving for the entire drill, and accelerate all the way to the net for their shot.
