Perpetual 2-1-2

Diagrams

Description

Green forwards circle on whistle to start the drill. At end of circle coach dumps in puck deep to a corner. F1 pressures directly while F2 provides support. F3 read for a breakout to weak side.

Brown forwards breakout below with short passes, either up strong side if unabated, or send behind to weak side. As they break out they pass to coach at center. Brown F's then becomes the forecheckers and attack Black team once coach dumps into Black corner. Green become the Brown team for the next dump-in on the same side.

Cycle Red D (extras) with whatever team just broke out.

Forecheckers can score if they win their battles.

Progression 1: Kids do their own perpetual dump-ins
Progression 2: Allow breakout D to stop the next breakout rather than cycle.
