Keeping the puck in the zone (D Man)

Diagrams     

Description

1) D man starts on boards in side the blue line
2) coach chips (not full shot) the puck off the boards towards the D man to simulate a weak clearing attempt
3) D man holds the puck in the zone
4) D man toe drags the puck to near the centre of the zone remaining just inside the blue line
5) Forwards gets into position in front of the net for a tip in and rebound
6) D man shoots the puck
7) forwards take one attempt at a rebound without slashing the goalie
8) repeat on opposite side
