Stop and Start Angling

Description

1. Players line up as shown, remaining players lined up in middle of the ice near the blue line.
2. Offensive and defensive players start facing each other and each stop is done facing each other.
3. On the whistle, the players skate the mini ladder, first cone and back, second cone and back.
4. After the ladder, both players skate out around their respective cones , the offensive player tries to drive deep below the first cone and cut to the net, the defensive player angles

Notes: Stagger the start of each side so the goalie isn't facing shots from both sides.

Stress the protection of the puck while cutting to the net.
