This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
This drill is a good full ice warm up to practice drill, the more coaches you have to guild players through it makes it a more flow play.
You must have 4 Coaches at Min, 2 to make passes and 2 to start players keeping the pace.
After all set up as shown the first player in each line goes on coaches whistle. Skate half way around first circle as shown and take a shot while still in motion around the circle ( do not go in on the goalie!!!!!!)
Finish skating circle and pick up a the puck the coach has bounced off the boards and skate to the inside of the tires with the puck.
Once the first player has the 2nd puck the coach pacing the players now tells the next player to go. This player repeats the drill as the player ahead of him/her.
After skating around the tires the player then again goes to the outside of the end circle and as player is near the goal line that players takes a shot (again not skating to the goalie, take a shot) then skate behind the net and get in line set to do the drill again.
Once all players have done this drill 2 times lines of players and coaches switch sides and do drill 2 times from opposite side .
Notes: Goalies must be on their toes.
Coaches can switch up the type of passes as players skills improve over a season, direct passes, delayed passes.....mix it up so players don't get comfortable receiving passes
