Description

Forecheck: Coach dumps the puck in; closest player charges in second player curls and provides support; second player pins and battles other team; Third player goes to the net moving to get open at all times; Defence to the boards and high slot.

Faceoffs: Reading the play and puck; reading when teammate will get the puck and creating open ice. Eyes on the puck at all times.

Read and React breakout:

Coach dumps puck in defence obtains and makes decision based on position of teammates. Wingers and Centers curl around pylon moving out of the zone; emphasize on reading and movement.
