This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
This drill is designed to replicate game situations, set up as shown
On coaches whistle first skater sprints towards net at red line, coming to a complete hockey stop facing the center of the ice and then run in place until next skater taps him with his stick.
Second skater can not leave until first skater has done his hockey stop.
Once the second skater has tapped first skater the first skater then takes off as fast as he can to the cones and begins to slalom the cones, second skater runs in place again waiting for next skater to tap him.
First skater comes out of cones and sprints to the far side boards again coming to a complete hockey stop and begins up/downs until next skater arrives and taps him with stick.
First skater then sprints as fast as he can to goal line coming to a complete hockey stop facing the goal crease, after coming to a complete stop skater then takes off as fast as he can between the net and cones and back into corner where drill started
