Single Player Break-Out

Diagrams

Description

Single player breakout allows players to work on a various number of techniques including skating, agility, passing, chip plays off the boards or glass and shooting.

X1 - Starts with a hard skate around the pylon and a direct line towards X2. Once X1 hits the middle of the zone, X2 will pass X1 the puck (tape to tape!). X1 will then skate with puck around the pylon and chip the puck either high off the boards or off the glass to set up a break out play. X1 will then move around the coach acting as the defender on the play, and skate to retrieve his puck, finishing with either a wrist or snap shot on net.

Once X2 has made his pass, and X1 clears his skating path, X2 will repeat the same drill in the opposite direction heading towards X3.

Drill repeats until the entire team has completed the sequence.
