Description

Coach simply shoots puck around the boards and D learns to keep the puck in the offensive zone.

On the other side of rink, same drill, but this time have the D practice his/her shot from inside blue line.

Notes: Show your Defensive players how to keep puck in the zone. On bottom half of diagram, be sure to have the defensive player get his left leg on board, assuming he can get to the boards on time. The objective is get as much of his body on board to keep the puck in the offensive zone.

For the shooting component, have your Squirt or Atom come in closer to net for a shot
