Cross ice box out 2 on 2

Description
Go off whistle to keep drill in control. First whistle - F1 passes to D3 and drives the net vs D1&D2. D3 shoots. D1&D2 box out and clear the net. F1 fights for rebound. Encourage them to 'PLAY IT OUT'. Give them time to play the rebound and fight for the puck. If D get it they must skate the puck to the boards, blue line, or far end. 2nd whistle, F2 passes to D4. F2 drives the net to play 2 vs 2 with his partner against D1/D2. D4 shoots the puck. Again PLAY IT OUT. Third whistle F5 passes to F1 or F2 for 2 on 2 vs D3&4 who've gapped up ice.
Again tell them to play it out and compete for the puck. After they've done (puck is out, covered, or goal is scored) then D3 & D4 become the D in front of the net and F3/F4 now become the players going to the net for rebounds and 2 on 2 the other way. D1/D2 become the shooters at the other end.
