Description

3 stage battle drill - one zone
e
Stage 1 - F1 starts in the corner with the puck, D1 starts in between F1 and the net, can do different starting positions, including having D1 start by the post and then closing out on F1. Basically during this 1st stage, F1 attacks the net, and the play is live until, D1 clears the puck off the boards, the goalie covers it, or F1 scores.

After Stage 1 is done, Stage 2 starts F2 passing to D2, who walks the line and then shoots when F1 has established good position in front of the net for a screen, tip, and rebound. D1 tries to prevent F1 from establishing good position. After the shot, the puck is live until it is in the net, the goalie has covered it, or D1 has cleared it off the boards or out of the zone.

After stage 2 has finished, stage 3 starts with F1 fighting to get open in front of the net to receive a pass from F3. F3 can go to either side of the net, but must remain behind the goal line. D1 must play F1, the player in front of the net.

After this stage rotate so that the two D switch roles, and F1 becomes F3, F3 becomes F2, and F2 becomes F1
