3 on 3 NZ regroup

Diagrams

Description

Coach drops puck at initial faceoff, or passes to either X5, or O5.
X4 and X5, O4 and O5 remain behind goals at all times. F play 3 on 3 trying to score. At any change in possession, F must pass back to their respective D and curl low to start the regroup. D pass D2D then to any forward they choose to resume the attack. Any missed net is a turnover and the D (X or O respectively) start with puck.

Notes: Encourage D to snap passes and support each other by "dropping into the hole" and finding a moving forward to initiate the attack. Have D wait for a forward to audibly call for a pass to encourage communication.

Category: 3 on 3
Tags: Have F recognize possession change and immediately get above their player.
