Stationary Shooting

Description

Stationary Shooting.

Notes: Ensure proper shooting technique.
Puck and stick well behind the back skate, weight on back leg. Push puck forward while shifting weight in-line with the puck, to front foot. Pull top hand towards body while pushing bottom hand forward just before puck is released.
Repeat, watching each player and instructing with proper technique.
Eventually a pylon will be placed in front of each player to increase accuracy/aim.
IF players get bored of stationary drill, allow them to line up and start in corners, skating around the top of the circle and shooting on net.
