Pre-Practice Warm-up #1

Description

Separate skaters in 2 groups, 1 in each corner. 1 player at a time. 2nd players goes when 1st players reach 1st blue line. This is a full speed drill. Forward skate to first blue line. Pivot and skate backwards between the blue lines. Pivot again, forward skate and tight turn around far pylon, skate to the blue line and full stop (2 feet facing skaters on opposite side drill). Lateral skate between the blue lines (emphasize quality of cross overs and square to the boards vs speed) and forward skate to end. Variant 2nd time around: replace lateral skate with forward plunge between blue lines and getting back-up using 2 hands on stick and push up using stick and 1 knee.
